Special Election for South Carolina’s 5th District

The 5th Congressional District of South Carolina will hold a special election for the U.S. House of Representatives on June 20, 2017. The election will replace Mick Mulvaney, who was confirmed as director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.

Three Democrats, seven Republicans, and five third-party candidates are running for the seat. Primary elections will be held on May 2, 2017, with primary runoffs occurring on May 16 if required.
