Indivisible Brooklyn Tabling Weekend

From Indivisible BK Nation:

We’ll be tabling again this weekend (weather permitting) at the Park Slope Food Coop, the Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket and possibly, a to-come location in Crown Heights . Tabling is a fun, easy and remarkably satisfying way to get involved. A quick explainer on how it works: we set up a table at a congenial sidewalk location with pre-printed letters to our representatives for constituents to sign and return to us on the spot.  We also hand out info about our group to people who want to join our efforts. Per popular demand, this week the letters will be to Senators Schumer and Gillibrand in support of Elizabeth Warren’s conflict of interest bill.

By the end of the weekend, we usually have hundreds if not thousands of letters to hand-deliver to our representatives. Our tabling has four main aims: 1) to remind our senators how many of their constituents vehemently oppose Trump’s agenda and that we are expecting them to fight it aggressively 2)  to remind our representatives we are a sizable, activated and organized constituency 3) to educate and activate our neighbors and, last but not least,  to the hand-delivery method 4) to maintain regular, in-person contact with our representatives’ offices.

We’d love to have you join us!

Here is a link to the tabling sign-up. Once we have folks signed up, I’ll be sending around a separate sign-up sheet for printing batches of the letters.

We plan to hand deliver the letters in person on Monday, February 13th . If you’d like to join us in delivering them to Schumer’s and Gillibrand’s offices in Midtown East, let us know!
